By default all HTTP redirects return a "302" Redirect, which is considered a temporary redirect. A "301" redirect is considered a permanent redirect and some providers may specify that this is the type you should use.
To enable the option of using either a "302" or a "301" redirect:
-
Log into your account and hover over the Account navigation tab and select the Preferences option from the drop down menu.
-
Scroll down to locate the option Specify HTTP Redirect Type and click on the Edit button for that option.
-
Click on the box next to Specify redirect type on a per-domain bases and click on the Update button to save this preference
-
Now, when you set a URL redirect for your domain, you will see the option of having it be either a "301" or "302" redirect.
